We are trying to achieve our goals for 2008, but remember that to get there you have to reach and break through the pain’s threshold, not an easy thing to do, mentally, but a must for any crossfitter.

I love it when he chucks the medicine ball at the guy’s own ‘medicine balls’.

    “I lost 8 pounds. . . and a testicle.”

    About the article. . .

I read about half and skimmed half.

Overall I give it a 7 out of 10. It had more good information than most diet books out there, it was no-nonsense, and it was simple.

My biggest points of contention are the lack of acknowledgment of the different types of calories. After reading Eades’ materials (and watching the video posted here), there can be little doubt that what you eat matters – not ‘only’ the total caloric balance.

Also, the separation of aerobic and anaerobic exercise. The author does mention that anaerobic exercise should be done, but puts too much emphasis on the aerobic portion. We CFers know that separating the two is not as effective as doing them both at the same time.

My contentions aside, it is a good article and a great place for beginning ‘healthy eaters’ to start.
