In honor of USAF SSgt Travis L. Griffin, 28, who was killed April 3, 2008 in the Rasheed district of Baghdad by an IED strike to his vehicle. Travis is survived by his son Elijah.

    Had some work done on my wifes car at big O tires down street from shed. Came by in the morning and caught last little bit of woman’s class, very impressive. And ran home from shed Did griff along the way. Running backwards really does take it out of you. Not sure on time or distance, but close to 12 minutes I think. my apartment to shed is 2900 meters, so just ran for 4 minutes, then ran backwards for 3 minutes. Just my rough estimate.

    Thanks Griff for the ultimate sacrifice, we will honor you and your family with this workout for years to come.

    I figured if my wife did the WOD, I’d be somewhat of a chump if I didn’t do it as well. This was my first workout since 5/29;

    Ten rounds for time of:
    12 Burpees
    12 Pull-ups
