Not only did the 5:30 class do the “Dad” workout, but they all got matching “Bill” tattoos (mimicked after Bill’s original tattoo) in honor of Craig’s Dad.

Caffeine experts push for warning labels on energy drinks warning of health risks.

A regular 12-ounce cola drink has about 35 milligrams of caffeine, and a 6-ounce cup of brewed coffee has 80 to 150 milligrams of caffeine. Because many energy drinks are marketed as “dietary supplements,” the limit that the Food and Drug Administration requires on the caffeine content of soft drinks (71 milligrams per 12-ounce can) does not apply. The caffeine content of energy drinks varies from 50 to more than 500 milligrams.

    What a great finish to an excellent tribute. Gotta tell you, my Dad would find the tattoo idea a bit embarrassing and quite funny. He says he woke up after a night of drinking while in the Navy to find his name stenciled on his shoulder. Too damn funny. Thanks again, guys.

    For those interested…they just announced the 2009 CF games. The official dates for the 2009 CrossFit Games will be July 11-12, 2009. You had to have “adequate performance” in the 08 games, or qualify at some point throughout the year to compete.

    I wanted sub 15 but the thrusters kicked my ass. I am on a fasting day so I think that I should work out earlier, I had the stamina and strength but I feel like I was missing something, and it wasn’t a redline. (I kicked that cold turkey)

    Nice jorgy. When fasting, you’re likely to expend usable glycogen quickly- thats all you’re runnin’ on for the day. If your liver is the glycogen gas tank, you ran out. Thus, you probably felt gassed at 12 -13min mark (aka, hitting the wall).
