    Two dozen Olympic track and field athletes and coaches will provide instruction in every event Saturday at the 22nd annual Willie Davenport Olympian Track and Field Clinic at James Logan High.

    The event, which is open to individuals and teams of all levels, will feature special guests Billy Mills, the 1964 Olympic gold medalist in the 10,000 meters, Stephanie Brown, gold-medal winner in the discus at the Beijing Olympics last summer, and Pittsburg native Eddie Hart, 4×100 relay gold medalist in 1972.

    Registration is from 8-9 a.m. Saturday, with the clinic running from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Lunch is included in the price. Fee is $25 for individuals, $10 for youths 12 and under, $350 for teams, and $500 for teams of 30 or more.

    My girl Joy just finished her 3rd PT with Jeremy.

    She is READY to go! I’m so glad she loves Crossfit. It’s already changed her life. She has a new out look & is looking forward to her fitness future 🙂

    Holly you smoked it! I think the last time we did Angie was December 24th at the old Shed and I think you were still using bands then. It must be a huge PR and no bands!!! I want to know what you eat and drink before a 6AM class? Congrats!!!

    19:58 with chest-to-floor pushups. PR by 2:01, and the first of my 2009 goals to fall (sub-20 Angie). Andrew PR’d by more than 2:30.

    Before today, I didn’t know that anything other than chest-to-floor was legit. I’m tempted now to do all the WODs with pushups and pick up a bunch of PRs. But my inner Annie Sakamoto tells me not to:

    Holly, phenomenal time on Angie. It kills me that you beat me, but I couldn’t be prouder of you. Oh, and Yvonne, methinks it’s the shots of Mona Vie. I hear that Holly swears by the stuff!

    This time did them in sets of 10, 7, 5, 3, 1 instead of thinking I can do 100 in a row and going to failure.

    Wow! Lots of comments today! You girls are amazing! Sub-20?? Insane. I ended up getting 21:15 and PR’d by 2:30ish. Last time I got 23:49, so needless to say, I am quite happy with the improvement with only a little over a month of crossfit!

    Thanks for the words Mountain but now I feel guilty because my push-ups were not chest to floor, they were more like Jeremy’s shoulders below elbows. So in all reality, because of bad form, I did not beat you…..not yet.

    Stav, the loaf and fauxtatoes came from Jimmy and his wife Kelly. I’ll ask Jimmy tomorrow in fight fit if they can get you the recipe! Jeremy should have his phone # if you need it fast.

    Got off pull up bar at 4:30 best time for me for pull ups in angie
    Had my eye on tv clock the whole time so I could try and beat jj

    Did games second day during open gym
    30 squat clean and jerks 155 lbs

    Killed me 10:12 did it in 8 minute at games

    Mountain – One thing you’ll notice in the video is that on all Annie’s push ups, her shoulders just reach the level of her elbows. This happens to be the moment when she is touching the ground.

    After reviewing some more videos of Greg A (Tabata push ups), and Dutch (34 round Cindy), I think I am going to stick with my standard of shoulders below parallel. Chest to floor optional, and only required at certain times (like the Chest to bar pull ups, and Arse to ankle squats).
