BE A CROSSFIT INFLUENCER THIS THANKSGIVING
The holidays are a perfect time to recruit your family and friends to join you at CrossFit. Avoid challenging discussions about current events, politics, or family drama. Instead, take control of conversations to create some excitement for CrossFit! 

Need some CrossFit conversation starters? Here’s a few strategies you can use on Thanksgiving Day:

  1. Arrive a little late and farmer carry everything in two bags with handles. When someone asks if you need help, respond, “no, no, I got it! I love farmer’s carries – we do them all the time at CrossFit.” 
  2. Stare at your phone until someone asks: “what the hell are you looking at?” Respond confidently: “I’m checking out tomorrow’s ‘WOD’! It’s amazing.”
  3. Refuse to eat until the top of the hour. Tell people: “My CrossFit gym is doing a fasting challenge.”
  4. No football! Instead, put on Day 3 of the 2025 CrossFit Games. Be sure and tell everyone: “yah, that’s what I do.”
  5. When offered dessert, loudly proclaim: “No thanks, Mom, I don’t eat that sh*t anymore. I do CrossFit.”
  6. Wear a CrossFit shirt… duh.

  • Tue, Nov 25, Functional Bodybuilding – 10AM & 6:30PM – this is the only FBB session this week, so volume is heavier Don’t miss it! 
     
  • Wed, Nov 26: OPEN 5AM – 6PM. Last Class: 4:30PM
     
  • Thu, Nov 27, Thanksgiving Day – Gym Closed (come to our Turkey Trot!)
    8:30AM: Totally Unofficial Turkey Trot! 
    – this is our 18th annual Trot and we’re returning to our favorite spot: Hidden Lakes Park in Martinez. This place is fantastic and features a kids playground, a very nice soccer/football field and walking track, and miles of trails in the surrounding Open Space. We’ll create a cool, fun course for our Diablo crew AND have a fun walking trail for strollers. Family, friends, doggos are all encouraged to attend!
     
  • Fri, Nov 28: OPEN 7AM – 6PM. First Class 7AM. Last Class 4:30PM
     
  • Sat/Sun, Nov 29/20: Normal Business Hours & Class Schedule.
     
  • Dec 12, 7:00PM – Diablo’s Annual Holiday Party at the Back Forty Texas BBQ Roadhouse & Saloon in Pleasant Hill!  – RSVP ON THE APP – We’ll have the upstairs banquet & bar area all to ourselves for dinner, drinks, fun and dancing. Movie: NetFlix – One Shot with Ed Sheeran- WOW!:  Yvonne chose this one and we were immediately drawn in by his charm, incredible voice and passion for singing. But, I was BLOWN AWAY by the production of this incredible series of impromptu performances in NYC – all captured sequentially in ONE CAMERA SHOT (no cuts!).. it was an incredible use of handhelds and seamless transfers to drones that required the incredible coordination of more than a 1000 people.
