DIABLO SPORT PERFORMANCE TRAINING is a Strength, Mobility & Conditioning Training Program designed for Youth, High School & Collegiate Athletes. This program is appropriate for athletes age 15 & up who are highly motivated to improve their overall strength and mobility in order to perform at the highest level of their sport.

DSPT athletes will be exposed to all the primary barbell lifts, as well as the use of kettlebells, dumbbells, sleds, and gymnastics movements to develop a complete strength and mobility profile. Our goal is to create athletes who excel above their peers in both practice and competition, and have the capability to walk into any collegiate program with all the skills necessary to hit the ground running the day they walk in the door.

We put an emphasis on attaining the mobility and stability required for each individual’s sport so that they may perform to their full potential without fear of injury. We understand that strength and conditioning are an accessory to their primary sport and should focus on preparing them to be their best on game day. Proper technique is CRUCIAL to gaining strength & power, in addition to avoiding injury. Our coaches are extensively trained and experienced, and no athlete will be pushed beyond their capacity – progressions in weight and movements will only be allowed under the supervision and instruction of a coach.

DPST Head Coach Jackson Miller

Jackson was born and raised right here in the East Bay. He spent his childhood pursuing his dreams of being an elite level swimmer and football player. As a youth athlete, Jackson developed a passion for the world of strength and conditioning while spending many hours under experienced coaches both locally and at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. After graduating from Las Lomas High School, he went on to compete on the Indiana University Swim Team, where he achieved several accolades. Among them are being named a First Team D1 All-American, setting multiple school records, winning the BIG10 Conference Championship, and serving as team captain for an NCAA top ten team.

After completing a 4-year collegiate career, Jackson began taking CrossFit classes at Diablo CrossFit in May of 2017. Immediately after starting, CrossFit became both a passion and a lifestyle. Jackson is now a CFL1 coach, competitive CrossFit athlete, and programs for, as well as coaching several of Diablo’s top competitive athletes. He has recently bridged his passion for high-level sports performance and strength training as head coach for Diablo’s Sport Performance Program.
